My name is Shonika Proctor and I match developers of global infrastructure projects to private equity investors focused on global infrastructure projects, primarily in emerging economies. Although the investors are open to projects around the globe, their hottest markets now are Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Chile and Turkey.   The Market Opportunity: I lived in Chile, South America for 2 years where I first learned of the challenge that developers had seeking funding for global infrastructure projects. Upon returning to my hometown of Washington, DC through my professional network (mostly based in DC and Southeast Asia), I discovered investors had the same problem in reverse. It was not easy for them to find 'funding-ready' large scale infrastructure projects ($50 million USD investment or more) in emerging economies.   The Market Solution: As my current work is directly related with emerging markets and seeing a business opportunity, I began leveraging my strong international network to scout projects for managing directors of private equity firms. I currently offer this as one of the primary services in my consulting portfolio.
